So what do they bring to the table?
- Customer-centric approach A UX designer is essential in promoting user-centric thinking early in a project. During the discovery phase, they focus on identifying user groups and understanding their needs, preferences, and pain points, while Business Analysts and Product Owners focus on business goals. Direct interaction with end-users helps confirm hypotheses and eliminate assumptions. This approach strengthens the connection between your brand and customers, making products and services more personally resonant.
- Enhanced user satisfaction and loyalty A great user experience makes products not only functional but enjoyable, leading to higher user satisfaction. Satisfied users are more likely to become loyal customers and brand ambassadors, driving repeat business and positive referrals.
- Increased conversion rates A seamless, intuitive user interface (UI) is crucial for converting visitors into customers. UX designers create interfaces that guide users smoothly, enhancing conversion rates and positively impacting your bottom line.
- Cost savings in the long run Investing in a UX designer can lead to long-term cost savings. Designers use validation sessions, wireframes, and prototypes to gather feedback early and often, reducing the risk of costly post-launch fixes and redesigns. This proactive approach streamlines the development process and saves money.
- Competitive edge In today's market, a memorable user experience differentiates your brand from competitors. Investing in UX design shows you prioritize user needs, giving your company a competitive edge.
COOP operates a distribution center with several digitized processes, but the cross-dock counting process remains paper-based. Our team initiated a digitalization effort, conducting user research that revealed several key pain points: the counting process was non-linear and unpredictable, requiring a customized digital solution; reliance on mental calculations increased errors; and manual transfer of changes from paper to computer was tedious. Through iterative development involving key users, we created a simplified digital solution that reduced the number of users needed and significantly lowered error margins.
WinkelPortal is a web application that streamlines purchasing, claims submission, and delivery management for stores. Intratuin migrated the claims process to REACT to reduce page load times and enhance user experience.
Our team conducted interviews and user testing, followed by wireframing, prototyping, and design testing, involving stakeholders throughout to ensure alignment with their needs.
The result was a redesigned claims portal with an improved workflow and navigation, providing users with a more intuitive and efficient experience, and reducing their workload.
The UX designer led weekly sessions with Superunie to present solutions for new features and discuss improvements with end users. These sessions included feedback gathering and short interviews for qualitative insights. This approach allowed for quick iteration of concepts to reach optimal solutions before developers started work, saving valuable time.
Involving end users ensures that we address the right problems and create valuable, viable solutions for both users and the business.
