The Challenge
Bunge's way of working lacked a stable foundation. Key processes ran on Excel, and a legacy system was error-prone, difficult to scale, and increasingly unable to keep up with what the organisation needed. Meanwhile, the demand for a user-friendly platform where researchers, traders and management could work together kept growing. A platform that delivers reliable data, supports complex calculations, and keeps pace with the speed of the market.
Our approach
We started with a thorough analysis of existing workflows and systems. Which processes ran on Excel? Where did the legacy system fall short? And what did the end users, traders, researchers, and management actually need to do their work better? Those insights formed the foundation for AgroPulse.
We developed AgroPulse as a central platform for trading data. Researchers, traders and management work together in it: from managing supply and demand data to monitoring balances, shipments and market developments, and consulting reports.
We delivered one platform for balances, shipments, line-ups, vessel tracking and reporting. Complex calculations have been translated into a stable data model, supported by flexible visualisations. Excel dependency has been reduced through upload and inline editing functionality, supplemented by workflows for approval and version control. Integrations with Snowflake, reporting tools, and legacy systems such as Whiteboard ensure consistent data throughout.
