Product Owner Coaching & Interim Leadership
You want your teams working on what genuinely matters to users. But the Product Owner role is unclear, overloaded, or not filled optimally. Teams lack structure, experience, or simply the capacity to deliver value continuously. We have a solution for both situations: Product Owner Coaching and Interim Product Leadership.

Product Owner Coaching
With Product Owner Coaching, we support the current Product Owner(s) on the team and help them develop.
Instead of standalone training, we coach Product Owners in their day-to-day work. During refinements, prioritisation decisions and stakeholder conversations, we help them make better decisions. Our coaching focuses on, among other things:
- prioritisation and backlog quality
- stakeholder management
- product vision and roadmap
- collaboration between business and development
Coaching in practice means the Product Owner develops faster and teams deliver value more effectively.

Interim Product Leadership
Sometimes a Product Owner or Product Lead is temporarily unavailable in an organisation, for example due to departure, leave or illness. With Interim Product Leadership, we take on this role temporarily.
For us, interim work isn't just temporarily taking over a role, it's a phase towards a structural solution. That's why we work in three steps:
- Secure: We temporarily take on the Product Owner/Product Lead role and make sure teams keep delivering.
- Support: We help the organisation, where needed, find or hire the right Product Owner.
- Transfer: We coach this person and hand over the role in phases.
This way, the organisation can continue independently afterwards with a stronger product organisation.

Why Product League?
Many organisations opt for standalone training and interim capacity. The problem: training is often far removed from daily practice, and interim capacity only temporarily fills a gap. Structural improvement rarely comes from it.
At Product League, we therefore choose a different approach:
- On-the-job coaching of Product Owners
- Hands-on Interim Product Leadership
- Structural transfer of knowledge and responsibilities
We also bring years of experience. You always work with specialists who operate as Product Owners every day.

FAQ
What's the difference between Product Owner coaching and interim leadership?
With Product Owner Coaching, we support existing Product Owners in their day-to-day work, so they grow stronger in their role. With Interim Product Leadership, we temporarily take on the Product Owner or Product Lead role when that capacity is missing. At the same time, we help your organisation build a structural solution and hand over the role in phases.
Which organisations is this suitable for?
For organisations building digital products that notice their product organisation could be stronger. Think of teams where prioritisation is unclear, where collaboration between business and IT is strained, or where an experienced Product Owner or Product Lead is temporarily missing.
How long does an engagement take?
That depends on your organisation's situation. Coaching often involves several months of guidance. Interim Product Leadership continues until a structural Product Owner has been hired and onboarded. Together we determine upfront what's needed to make a fast impact while also achieving sustainable improvement.
